Training Packages

 We offer a training package similar to the starting and training component we offer with our sale horses.

"The Foundation" package

• Starting your horse under saddle (up to 6 weeks)

• 4 months extra foundation training.

• Tuition offered as part of the package prior to completion.  We are very flexible with the amount and to be discussed with each individual. 

• Support after training has been completed.  (Costs will apply after training has been completed)

• Training contracts completed before commencing.

Please note:

We normally offer this training package with our Paint horses from Woodstock Paints. However we have decided to open this up to any young stock you may have purchased.  Your horse must be under 4yrs old and ready to start under saddle.   

Tuition can only be offer in the 16 week Training period.  Tuition is not available in the Starting under saddle 6 week period.

Total cost of this package 

$10,000 + GST

This package is divided into 3 payment stages which are:

Payment 1 - Before commencing $4600

Payment 2 - When training period commences (after the first 6 weeks) $3200

Payment 3 - Half way through the training period. $3200

"The Discipline" training package

This training package is suited to owners wanting their horse to learn a specific discipline such as cutting, reining, campdrafting, working a mechanical cow or ridden events. They are long term and it takes time to teach your horse how to perform in the disciplines successfully.  We don't take short cuts and pending on your horse and how it adapts is how long your training will take.

Each discipline comes with it technical challenges so we will go through with you the horses breeding and ability to achieve the discipline you have chosen.  We are available to compete your horse once ready but this will be additional costs which will can discussed prior to the competitions..

"The Basics" Training package

This package offers horse owners who would like their basic foundation in their horse developed.  Please note this option is not for re-educating bad behaviours.  If your horse is green and needs to develops the basics in their foundation then this might be the option for you.  Depending on where your horse is at will determine what can be added into the basics.  Some of the things included in this package is:

• Riding with softness

• Smooth transitions between gaits

• Stops - including one rein stops and one rein shut downs

• Backup

• Forward movement

• Rollbacks

Period 6 weeks
